This original Balinese traditional village concept is located in the Eastern part of Bali, Karangasem Regency. It will require you to drive around 3 hours from greater Denpasar area with normal traffic condition. You can visit this place on your way or on your return to/from the lovely diving site Amed, Karangasem.
The village of Samsara is located in the slope of the hill and far from main road of Jungutan Village, makes the atmosphere is cool and harmony. This is your place for healing and relaxing.
Entering Samsara area, we will first see the natural forest of the village and it’s surrounding blending with the traditional Balinese architectural buildings of the resident. The entrance gate of Samsara is made of stone structure. The wall are made of hardened soil structure and the roof are made of reeds and other unique materials. A fresh Tamarind are specially served for the guest along with the symbolism of “Melukat”, and traditional Sarong which will be used during your visit at Samsara.

This place open for people from all over the world, and it will be suitable for overall age of people. We haven’t shared you that they also usually have the traditional game of Bali, such as meong-meong. Kids will like this kind of active game. Where the kids who act as “Meong” or cat has to catch the kids who act as “Bikul” the mouse. And the other participant will create a circle formation which used as a wall to protect the mouse.
There is complete facilities hence you don’t need to worry and the staff also very friendly and helpful. But for your comfortability during the visit, you can use sandals rather than a shoes since there will be the time that you need to walk on your barefoot. For the guest who taking the wellness package, we recommend you to bring the substitute clothes since there will be the activity which you’ll be cleaned mentally utilizing holy water. There is massage and therapy in the bamboo forest area also for the people who select the most complete package in Samsara.
